Life after Christmas and big move

Well we closed on our new homestead and two days before Christmas we moved in. So it was nice celebrating the holiday here.

My husband end up doing a lot of the work of coordinating the movers and cleaning the old house. Though we haven't sold the the former home yet showings have increased and pricing seems to be where it needs to be.  So we are in hope that it will sell very soon.

Meanwhile we are slowly settling in to the new house. There is a sea of boxes in the garage. I hope I can find a few of my kitchen supplies so I can finish setting up the hub of the house.

Hubby set up our home network and now we have internet and tv. Got a chance to meet the new neighbors. There is three little ones so that shall bring some interesting moments I am sure.

Today we are planning on getting some of the final items at the old house. I am ready to move on and settle in our new chapter of our lives.

Moving day is almost here

Ok tomorrow we are signing papers for our new home. Wow 10 years since our last move and man did we gain a lot of stuff. This is even after we got rid of a lot during two garage sales this past summer.  After signing we plan on getting some pizza and having a celebration at the new house. 

My mother is considering coming down and seeing it all done and before we bring in the furniture in.  Then Saturday will move my kitchen and a few personal items. Movers will bring the big items on Monday. Hubby will supervise since I will be at work but I will be checking in.  

Christmas will be spent in our new house. With crossed fingers and toes our old home will sell quickly and our stress will reduce.  If I don't write before Christmas, Wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New year!

One week! Maybe.

Well after much debate and roll of the dice we decided to move funds and try to close on the new house before old home is sold. Talk about scary and exciting all at the same time.

So we are planning out our move and all the things we will have to update and change. Internet, banking information, mail and all services connected to our address. Wondering if we can get movers before Christmas or not. Regardless we have faith that all will work out.

Cold Day!

Today is extremely cold here in Colorado. Temps in the single digits. My daughter and I are kind of hanging out watching Glee together. I was able to do a little crafting and shopping. A lot has happened since my last entry.  We are still moving forward with a new house. Lowering the price of the current house with hopes that it sells fast so we will start the new year in our new HOME!

My husband and I are really working hard to make this next chapter in our lives to happen. Funny thing about dreams and how they seem to grow and become such a part of you that you are willing to do just about anything to make them come true.

I guess I am saying keep working toward your dreams because you will grow and be so much better for them.
