Time flies and so does life
Wow I was sitting working on some items for HLAA and realized I have not posted to my blog in a long time. Four years, really where did the time go. A lot of things have changed. Both my kids are out of high school. My oldest living on his own and my youngest at home going to school and trying get a job.
Looking back these four years...we lost my mother in law two years ago. It was a difficult time and we still miss her dearly.
I still working at my same job but have returned to school to get another degree this time an associates in accounting should have completed either later this year or early next. Just depends how I want to take my final 3 classes.
I joined my local HLAA (Hearing Loss Association of America) and recently became the treasurer.
My husband and I took up the hobby of target shooting. We both enjoy it and it is better than playing golf in our later years.
Last year we took a road trip east and visited Niagara Falls Canada and Michigan. We took the long way around with a side trip thru West Virginia to visit my husband's home town. We really enjoyed the trip. This year for our 30th anniversary we are going to Hawaii. We both are very excited we are enjoying our 50s with traveling and spending time together.
Last year, we also got a little shihpoo puppy, Chewie, he has been such a joy. I love dogs but his little guy really wiggled into my heart.
I will try not say away as long. If life would slow down a little maybe I will remember to journal all that is happening in it.

Winter Wonderland
Well it is has been over 6 months since my last post. As always life keeps rolling and time seems to speed by. We have rolled thru summer and the holiday season. Here it is February 2015 and we have snow on the ground. Reflecting the six months. August last year celebrated 25th anniversary with my husband to a trip to Florida. We got the chance to catch up with friends. Space Kennedy was my husbands dream trip and I got the chance to be a girl at the Magic Kingdom. We had our first Thanksgiving in our home with family. Christmas was great fun as well my brother and family came to visit and we had a huge family Christmas. New Years was quiet. On this snowy day taking time to relax and enjoy each other.
Remember to take time to breath and reflect about life and love those around you.

July is here and so are fireworks
Hope all is well. Spent the 4th of July at home. It was nice day and the evening we got together with a few neighbors and shot off fireworks. The kids really enjoyed the show.
Here it is mid July and we are taking our daughter to a special camp. It is two nights at a college campus. It will be full of activities and and she will get to meet new friends. She is extremely excited about the social part of the camp.
After several months in our new home we have decided we are settled enough to have an open house to invite our friends to see our house and visit. I hope that it will be a good turn out. I am sure it will be a lot of fun and really like to reconnect with many people that we don't seem to get to visit with that often.
So I guess we can say were are on the up climb of our ride.

June time
Well here it is June already. I am a year older and we have been our new home nearly 6 months. Looking back it has been a year since we made the decision to move. Wow it doesn't seem that long ago.
Really neat watching the season changing. We now have green grass rather than brown dirt and mud. Under our deck is a family of birds. Though I am not comfortable having them there not going to evict till babies fly away. We have had a few cookouts with the new grill. Yummy food.
Work has been super busy but looking forward to a vacation in August with my hubby to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Yea!

Sunshine and dreams
Today started early with getting daughter off to the bus and myself to work.
Sounds funny but I really enjoy my job. Funny part I never dreamed of doing accounting and actually liking it. College it wasn't fun at all and I dreaded going. Real life application is so different. I also like when I am given little assignments that make me feel that I have value in the organization. Not sure if it ever makes sense but it is true.
We got a bit of sad news...though I can't write about it at this point but my heart goes out to several people I know that it is going to effect.
This evening watching American Idol and seeing these people trying to bring their dreams to life. I hope they each get to reach for their own stars. As Casey Kasem use to always say "Keep your feet on the ground and reach for the stars" That is my wish to everyone.

Mid March hopeful for Spring to blow in anytime.
Been a very busy couple of months. Just realized I hadn't sat down and put my life out there in since January.
This winter has been cold and very windy. I am so ready for spring to arrive. It really a sign of new life and new beginnings. Isn't amazing every year there seems to a new beginning. We have been in our new home for nearly three months.
Landscaping has started. We finally got a shed in the back for additional storage.
After going in circles we switched my daughter's school. Frustration on all our parts and thought a new start was in the cards for us and see if this will change my daughter's attitude in school.
I don't understand how a bright and beautiful child can have the attitude that I don't need to know this so I won't waste my time. I never had this attitude, I knew I had to take a class and pass it. Life you don't always get to do the things you want but you still do it. Oh well we have our hope that things will change and get better.
My son hurt himself recently. Man I remember when he was a little guy and I was teaching to climb the stairs and sliding down them on his belly. Who would of thought at 20 yrs he would slip on the stairs and hurt his shoulder. Nothing serious but needs time to heal.
In the coming months as it starts warming up we will gain a yard. Finally get to start getting things put away.
Windy March hopefully blows in the gentle rains of April for the May flowers to blossom and grow.
