Summer is almost over

Wow summer is almost over. I was able to take a couple of days off to spend with my aunt Pat. She hasnt been here for 10 years. Planning on breakfast today and then taking her around our part of town. Nothing like family and when you get time to spend with members you dont see everyday seems so special.

This past week my son had friends over and they were loud in the kitchen and started to feel annoyed with them.  As I sat there I realized there will be a time I would miss having my kids around. So I appreciated that they were there and having a good time. The crazy things they talked about and laughed about. It is such a wonderful sound.

Met my daughter's teachers and discussed this year and hopefully we can work together to help her this year. She seems to have a better attitude so far this year and starting to set goals for herself.

New home and vacuums

Today after cleaning the house it was time to run over to the property and models where our new home will be built. After speaking with the builder enjoyed lunch during their grand opening of the new models we started the process of picking colors, flooring and cabinets. Final decision will be in about a week or two.  Off to our next adventure, vacuum shopping. I have found that since I have a difficult time using our upright and my children can't understand how I would like to vacuum I started to research vacuums and wanted something that last more than a year or two. Paul and I went to a vacuum specialty shop. We test drove a couple and while I was chatting with the sales lady, my husband started to chat with the other young sales lady. Found out she was a Star Trek fan and cos play.  After awhile we settled on a Miele cat and dog model. German made with excellent reviews. Came home and started it up and boy I already see a difference.  You know we adults get just as excited about our new toys as our children do.
The color is called koi orange but it kind of looks like Bronco orange.

Cleaning house

We have cleaned our house top from to bottom to have pictures done and put for sale sign up. Yesterday we started the process of building our new home. Boy it sure scary and exciting at the same time. If all things fall into place we will be enjoying our new home by December.   Our whole family is pretty excited.

Today was our first showing for our current house. Talk about bitter sweet I love this place but the reasons for the move are bigger than the love of this home. Starting on the climb up to top of the roller coaster.

It's Raining, it's pouring

After a dry summer we have rain and I do mean RAIN! it is coming down in buckets. Making it hard to keep motivated to work around the house.

School is getting ready to start for my daughter she will be a junior in high school starting on Thursday. I cant believe my baby only has 2 years off. We got her some new clothes and shoes and few supplies. You know when kids hit HS they dont get lists. So no more new boxes of crayons or elmers glue. Happy and sad at the same time.

When we went to lunch decided to try a place we havent before. An asian grill called 'Toyoko Joes" it was good but one complaint I have and it isnt just this place but all restaurants that feel they need to be housed in a warehouse setting. It is loud and not very good to carry on conversations. I have a hearing loss and background noise is really bad and I cant hear anything being said.

I had an appointment with my doctor regarding the surgeon I had this past February. I had my eardrum repaired to help avoid any infections due to the fact I didnt have an eardrum. After my hearing test it showed I didnt gain any more hearing in fact I loss more. I can have another surgery to reconstruct one of the bones that deteriorated over the years. Not sure if I want to go thru with it. My hearing hasnt been really great for so long. This shall be a wait and see.

Well off to my next life adventure.
